City of Murrieta Awarded $422,350 for Traffic Signal Improvements

TPA congratulates the City of Murrieta (a TPA client) for being awarded a grant in the amount of $422,350 from the Highway Safety Improvement Program administered by the California Department of Transportation.

The proceeds from this grant will be used for the installation of an adaptive timing program at all City signalized intersections and the required software and hardware for the program at the City Hall Traffic Management Center.

This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of City leadership to protect and promote the quality of life for all of its residents.

East Contra Costa Fire Protection District Awarded $201,150 for Emergency Preparedness Equipment

TPA congratulates East Contra Costa Fire Protection District (a TPA client) for being awarded a grant in the amount of $201,150 from the Community Power Resiliency Allocation to Special Districts Program administered by the Office of Emergency Services.

The proceeds from this grant will be used to secure radios and related equipment to ensure the District has reliable and effective means of communication when responding to power outage events, as well as other emergencies.

This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of District leadership to preserve and protect life, environment, and property, with service above all else.

TPA Senior Director Cori Takkinen Infrastructure Funding Presentation

TPA Senior Director Cori Takkinen was honored to present at the UCI Civil and Environmental Engineering (CCE) Affiliates quarterly meeting last week. Cori provided an update on state infrastructure grant funding, including funding for environmental, water resources, and transportation projects.

TPA is proud to support the UCI CCE Affiliates and the work they do to connect students and professionals in the civil and environmental engineering community in Southern California.
