TPA congratulates Golden State Natural Resources for successfully securing $500,000 through the Wood Products Infrastructure Assistance Program administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to transform excess biomass into high quality products and support forest resiliency.
This funding will support GSNR’s crucial efforts to mitigate fire risks throughout the state through innovative solutions that transform fire fuels into marketable wood products. By reducing hazardous fire fuels, GSNR will help protect the health and safety of all Californians, while simultaneously encouraging economic growth and environmental conservation.
This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of GSNR to promote forest resiliency, health and safety, economic growth, and quality of life throughout California’s rural communities.
Once again, congratulations GSNR!

This TIRCP award will fully fund SacRT’s train technology implementation component, which will greatly enhance system reliability, as well as its quality of services. Overall, these upgrades will improve transit efficiency and provide increased rider accessibility.

TPA congratulates the City of El Monte for successfully securing a grant in the amount of $3,000,000 through the Prop 64 Public Health and Safety Grant Program administered by the Board of State & Community Corrections to assist in mitigating the effects of marijuana in its community.
The City’s winning proposal included three innovative approaches. The first approach will fund the creation of first-of-its-kind Commercial Code Enforcement and Community Service Officer positions. The individuals in these positions will actively work toward improving the Commercial Cannabis Program and will serve as liaisons between City and community stakeholders.
The second approach will support Community Service Officer positions to coordinate cannabis awareness programs for El Monte’s youth, specifically in the City’s most vulnerable areas and those near legal cannabis operators.
The final approach will help increase the capacity of the police department to proactively enforce both illegal and legal cannabis operators citywide.
TPA proudly advocated on the City’s behalf in Sacramento, securing support from the City’s Legislators and emphasizing the City’s critical needs in this area.
Once again, congratulations El Monte on this major funding achievement!

The funding, secured by Representative Young Kim and Senator Alex Padilla, will further support the Collaborative’s efforts to reduce gang violence, strengthen crisis response and early action, confront homelessness, and provide supportive housing and reentry services. These services are critical to fostering a stronger community and this funding will enable the Collaborative to build on the significant success it has had over the past four years in Orange County.
